Minutes of our recent AGM are available

Just a quick note to let everybody know that the minutes from our recent AGM are available. They provide in detail the outcome of the voting as well as the President's report, Presentation of the Accounts and a reminder of procedures for property modifications and extensions. A reminder was also issued to respect the community rules and there was a discussion regarding owner's responsibility for renting their property

Any other business discussed access and use of the existing security gates.

Our Administrator has emailed a copy to all of our residents but if you have not received the email then please contact them for a copy.

The date of the next AGM was also agreed and published.

Cancellation of this year’s AGM

Hello Everyone

It is with regret that this years Annual General Meeting which was scheduled for 29th September is cancelled. As the welfare and safety of all our residents in the community is our priority.
The National Health of the the Valencian Community and National College of Administrators have decided that due to the situation with Covid 19 it has been recommended to cancel all community meetings until at least April 2021.
In April next year the situation with Covid 19 will be re-assessed when hopefully a date for the meeting can be announced.
The end of the Communities financial year will still remains as at 31 August 2020 and the Administrators will be forwarding the end of year accounts showing the account balances as they would normally do.
As we are unable to call an AGM and therefore unable to vote the current President myself and Vice President Barry will continue in office until a meeting can be called.
The Community fees will remain the same and the payments for the first 6 months will be due in September as normal.
If there are any pressing matters that any resident may wish to discuss then please email me.  Unfortunately no big financial decisions for works can be decided until the next AGM.
I assure you I will continue to work for the benefit of all the community to be best of my ability.

AGM : Summary of Meeting

Hello to all Playa Flamenca X Community. I would like to introduce myself as your president for the coming year. My name is Jocelyn Whitehouse and I live at casa 1764. We also have a Vice President Barry Dutton and a committee of three. I would like to keep this brief and will speak further once the minutes of AGM have been issued.
A brief summary of the meeting is as follows:
Due to many complaints regarding the cleaning and maintenance of the community our Administrator has asked for all your complaints to be sent to her. She will then have a meeting with maintenance company. A working party has been set up to assist in the removal of the hedge around the western pool due to several complaints about mosquitos. A decision has been made to take court action against the debt on casa 1768. Further small work improvements were agreed and will be detailed in the minutes. I look forward to working with all community members to make this a harmonious community to live in.

AGM will be on Tuesday October 15th

Our 2019 AGM will take place on Tuesday, October 15th with a first call at 1.45pm for a start at 2.15pm. It will be at our usual venue, the New Golden City Chinese restaurant, next to our urbanisation. Months away yet I know, but would owners who have items they would like discussed and voted upon let the administrator and me know – the latest time being September 1st to give us sufficient time to get it onto the agenda and posted to owners. Two items which will be included will be guidance (not rules which would be difficult to enforce) to owners on speed limits and parking on urbanisation roads to be included on community rules and the replacement of the hedge around the western pool with a fence (finances permitting). I have had a meeting with the administrator today and I am concerned at the level of arrears which has limited our ability to make improvements this year. The current arrears total is €23,000. Would all owners please check they do not owe fees and make every effort to pay promptly. The administrator can be contacted on 966730900.

Outcome of the EGM

Agenda for EGM Monday 5th November

This is the agenda for Monday’s EGM. It is now confirmed that it will take place at the usual venue, our local Chinese restaurant at 1pm. There is only one nomination for president, none for vice president and three people have put their names forward for a committee. There is a choice of two administrators. Both have offices close to our urbanisation and both have been invited to the meeting. The items for discussion are limited to vote in the new administration for 2018/19. I sincerely hope that we can conduct this meeting in a far more civilised way than our recent AGM which I think most will agree was an absolute disgrace.
