The urbanisation committee met on November 24th and confirmed a priority list of works to be undertaken on the community during 2017/18.

Commercial Waste dumping
Community owners were awakened early this morning by the sound of a JCB transporting tree stumps, branches and debris from the waste land opposite, to two of our community waste bins, dumping piles
New rubbish bin
Following intervention by our administration the local council has agreed to an additional rubbish bin at the edge of our urbanisation.
It has been added to the bin outside of the Allioth.

Palm Tree Maintenance
At our AGM this week there were complaints about the debris which falls into people’s gardens from neighbouring palm trees.
Some are now shedding seeds which contain black oil which makes a mess

Owners have been complaining of the lack of rubbish bin provision along Calle Nicholas de Bussi, particularly on the eastern end of our urbanisation. There used to be two bins but one was damaged and

Thieves steal bicycle from garden
A resident has had a bicycle stolen from their back garden even though the garden gate was locked. The intruders managed to climb the high garden wall and escape with the bicycle.

We have been informed of an attempted intrusion at a house near the East Pool.
Opportunist thieves climbed over the wall into the garden but thankfully were disturbed by the owners and they ran away.
Committee Newsletter : May 2017
This is a report to the community following the Committee meeting held on Friday 5th May 2017.
The committee received the report from the surveyor/architect engaged to undertake a structural survey of the garages together with an opinion concerning the patios of houses above. The committee was pleased to hear that the surveyor could find no problems with the main support beams of the structure, which he considered totally safe.
A supplemental report from him also confirmed he could see no faults with the central walkway or other works carried out in 2015 as a result of the court order requiring the housing community to effect repairs to stop leaks into a number of private garages.
The inspector was, however, critical of the lack of maintenance of patios above garages which he believes could be the reason why there is still water getting into the common areas of the garages at
Community Postbox Repairs
Work is now almost complete on repainting community postboxes – a vast improvement on what we had.
New clear numbering should hopefully prevent people getting the wrong mail delivered.

In March 2017 the urbanisation committee appointed Javier Gomez Escudero, of the Torrevieja-based company Architect88 to carry out a full and comprehensive inspection of the underground garages and
Shower repair is complete
The new shower pillar for the western pool is now finished and working – just in time for Easter.
In addition some repair work has been done on damaged tiles around both pools because of health
Letter Box refurbishment
Some owners have asked when the letter boxes are to be repainted and have new numbers. This will be done as soon as possible – the delay has arisen because a quote of €21 per box is considered
