Home testing kits for Covid-19 could be available in Spanish pharmacies within two weeks according to the thinkspain website. The PrimaCovid test pack will cost around €25 and checks for the presence of antibodies and shows whether the person has the virus or has ever had it. Initially though the tests will only be available on a prescription issued by a GP.
The same website also reports that the Spanish Government has authorised the purchase of 52 million doses of three types of vaccines in addition to the already purchased Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines. The first of these is due to get the green light from the EU by 29th December. The National Minister for Health said that the vaccines will be administered throughout 2021.
