Health encourages addiction prevention in young people with the “Cafe Preventivos” project.

“The Councillor for Health, Noelia Grao, presented the project “Preventive Cafes” which will take place from Tuesday 11 to Friday 28 September in center Orihuela Costa and districts on Thursday. “It will be launched in different areas of Orihuela in collaboration with hospitality establishments (pubs, cafes, etc) to prevent the use in places where it is supplied , “ the mayor.

Noelia Grao was accompanied by Abraham Fernandez, project coordinator, who said that “” Coffees Preventivos “means the colloquium and informal discussion with experts in emotional intelligence and health education or prevention of addictive behavior”.

On September 11 will take place the first debate on “Civic Center Cafeteria Alameda del Mar” from 18:30 hours. It will continue on Saturday 15th in “Oasis” San Bartolome at 18:30, and the 18th in “Café Concert” (Playa Flamenca) where he also taught bilingual from 18:30.

Moreover, on Wednesday, September 19 will be in CDM Orihuela Costa Coffee shop and “Valentina Café” at 18:30. It will continue on the 20th in “Capri Café” Murada at 17:30 and “La Pepa Café” at 18:30. One of the objectives pursued the activity is “to emphasise the importance of the emotional factor in the use or abuse of addictions in youth and general population.” So from the Department of Health, Noelia Grao has stated its intention to “implement a pilot programme, from an informal methodology to educate, advise and report on emotional intelligence as a prevention strategy in addictive behaviours, especially the new forms of addiction. “

For his part, Abraham Fernandez wanted to thank the City Council and restaurateurs their cooperation and emphasized that the project idea is also “see how it works to bring new products to the City Council since Orihuela is a reference to regional and even provincial level”
