As the colder weather is now with us and we turn electric fires and use aircon for heating, there is more of a chance that you could overload the electric circuit in your home.
In the past this would trip the switch in the electric box inside your home. But with new meters now installed in outside meter boxes, this is no longer the case.
If you suddenly find your electricity cuts out when you have several appliances in use, go to the electric box in your house and put all the trip switches down. Then go around your house and turn off some of the appliances and then go back to the meter and put all the switches up. The electricity should then be restored. The control for all of this is in the smart meter installed outside your home.
