We have been given some historic pictures of when our urbanisations were being built.
The pictures show construction work on our adjoining community, Playa Flamenca IX, but some of the pictures show adjoining land which is where we are now living.
I’m told that there was once an old finca nearby which was abandoned and demolished to make way for more homes. The finca had a pool, but when the property was abandoned the pool became the perfect haven for frogs and the road became known locally as frog road, because the noise of the frogs mating could be heard for quite a distance. The finca and surrounding land is in two of the pictures.
If you have some pictures of how things used to be locally, please let us borrow them so we can build up an interesting historical on-line record.
